I hope that you are finished with the leftover turkey. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year and I really enjoy turkey, so I can do leftovers for weeks. As we rapidly approach Thanksgiving, it is a good time to express our gratitude for all that we have and are. We are particularly sensitive and aware this time of the year of all those who are in material need. We are a very generous parish as reflected in the many holiday charities that we support each year. Soon the narthex will be filled with giving trees and collection bins. We are presently supporting the annual coat drive sponsored by our youth group. Thank you in advance for all the donations and support to these various programs and groups. Read more.
Hard to believe it is November already! This is the month of All Souls, when we are reminded of our obligation to pray for those who have passed before us. Many have already submitted names of loved ones to be placed before the altar as a prayerful intention for the month. I encourage all of us to remember to offer simple prayer or sacrifice for those who have died. Read more.
