Our program begins on Sunday, September 22 and runs for twelve (12) sessions, ending in June. Classes are held on Sundays once (or twice) a month from 9:15-10:45 am. Students and their parents are then encouraged to stay for the 11 o’clock Mass. This program also includes attendance of at least four (4) Family Days events during the academic school year. Additionally, this program is supplemented by a Family Journal with periodic sessions to review the activities to be completed each month.
Grade 7 Information-7th-grade students are asked to attend one of the 2 weeks of Summer Academy. 7th grade students who have special circumstances and cannot attend the Summer Academy Program, will meet as discussed above.
8th grade (Final Confirmation prep) Information-Students meet twice a month on Sunday evenings from 6-8pm from the beginning of October until Confirmation in the Fall of 2025. Date for Confirmation will be determined by the the bishop’s office. See the Confirmation Prep tab for more specific information about Confirmation and its requirements.
All families should be registered members of the parish in order for your child(ren) to attend the Traditional Religious Education Program at St. Benedict. Students new to the program are to provide the Religious Education Office with a copy of that child's Baptismal Certificate along with any other sacramental certificates if these sacraments were not received at St. Benedict.
If the child is coming from another Religious Education program or school, a letter of transfer from the former Religious Education program or Catholic school is required.
